i rescued a couple of large silver arowana with excessive fin damage from being in a poorly maintained tank. theyre 20"+ (not sure if size or age will determine recovery time. just throwing out what info i have) and are now in a clean sterile tank, with more then enough filtration.
given proper treatment, how long will it take for damaged fins to recover?

I dont think the fins are going to fully grow back though.

why do you say that?
I dont specialize with silvers, but it seems as if too much damage has been done. If you look at the pictures on the link the other forumer gave you, the fins were evenly rot. While the spines on yours are all ripped individually. Its just my opinion. Maybe it will all grow back.

dude, good luck. i know i cannot give any advice on this, but hope you keep us updated
