Fin growth?

Don't know where to post this since its about missing fin? But anyways, I bought this in with sa/ca mixed cichlid tank. I am pretty sure it's a green terror, which is what I'm hoping but not sure. And will his fin grow back??the black bar threw me off.

By no means am I an expert.. About a year ago, one of my fish was injured by a young male gt who tore off almost her entire caudal fin. The advice I received was: if the caudal fin isn't damaged to the body, it will grow back. I put her in a 10g quarantine tank with a sponge filter, treated with pimafix and melafix for 10 days. It took about a month in qt, but her tail did grow back and looks fantastic today. In the interim, I sold the gt. He was indeed a terror! Hope your fish gets better. I'm sure you know to keep an eye out for cottony growth and infections. Good luck!

Thats not a GT. Its some kind of acara. It looks to have the tail all intact so i say it will grow back just keep water clean!
