Well i recently bought 4 peacock bass one was 11 inches the others are 15 inches +... The larger 3 where housed in a 100 gallon for 2 weeks at the guys house while he is on vacation so i came by and bought them 30$ a piece... Well they had a lil bit of fin rot... So for the last 2 days ive added salt and started using melafix last night. My second largest is doing good fins already show improvement.my smaller 15 incher doesnt have fin rot but my big killer mono has it bad on its tail fin im worried he wont pull threw it. I bump the temps up to 84 degrees and did some water changes here's a pic of his tail.

Problem is you have that Guy singing in the tank. Pictures two showed the bass staying away.

Really all you can do is try to keep the water as clean as possible. If you have a way to bump the filtration a little (maybe adding an extra sponge filter or something if you've got it lying around) that can't hurt either. (Note--not implying that you need to increase filtration in general, water looks very clear. I just find in situations like this it can help.)

As an aside, part of the reason I mentioned a sponge filter is that if you're raising the temp, the water will hold less 02, so adding some air can help, especially if it looks like the fish is breathing heavy or something.

Thanks for the advise ill see if my friend can loan me one of his ehiems.

Like others are saying keep the water perfect like it seems already. And keep up with adding salt after water fudges as well as the melflax

Thanks guys for the speedy responses i have a question when using melafix... Does the part that already started rotting jus fall off until it hits healthy fin or does it jus try to rebuild the tissue because my other one dropped the dead fin and fins look crisp i aas thinkin they will grow back to normal length
