Thank you for the food for thought. No. I must ruthlessly pick my battles and what I spend my time on. It's a one-man DIY Public Aquarium and Rescue, functionally pretty much running, just 1% of construction to be finished.
Jason, please, consider not using red for the font color. It hurts my eyes. No expectations though, do as you please.

Appreciate the sentiment. To be fair, the VATF stopped killing tank mates ever since I started to religiously feed their tank with fish twice daily until the VATF eat their fill. They might or might have not killed the bolt catfish on the last page (see the corresponding Other Characins forum, our VATF thread has all the info) but it was on an irreversible and a very long way out anyway. They are predators afterall, the wolves of the forest, cleaning up the sick and genetically challenged, pre- or post-mortum.

I submit perhaps I am an exceptional idiot.
But otherwise, this is the reality of monster fish keeping of those who attempt to keep a lot of fish. People who keep several species in several tanks are most usually far more successful. Hoarders like me are not.
When I read of people keeping fish for 10, 20, and 30 years, I bow down low to them. Like Taksan who kept an RTC pair for 29 years in 4500 gal.
In fairness though, there are easy and hard species too. This is a big factor.
I salute u with all your time and effort for you monster fish keeping, even with some losses.
