What do you guys think will be a good final showpiece for a 220g south american community. Here are my current grow outs:

1 x Chocolate Cichlid (Hypselecara temporalis)1 x Severum (Heros efascticious)
4 x Uaru Cichlid (Uaru amphiacanthoides)
4 x Red Striped Eartheater (Geophagus surinamensis)
1 x Jurupari Eartheater (Satanoperca jurupari)
1 x Threadfin Acara (Acarichthys heckelii)
3 x Pictus Catfish (Pimelodus pictus)

I'm stuck between an Oscar and a True parrot learning more towards true parrot. Any thoughts on a cool final piece to the puzzle?

Sounds like a great setup. Between those 2 , I'd go with the parrot. I think the oscar would potentially be a trouble maker with thar list

Jags are centrals. If a central would be considered I think pearsi would be good...
True parrots are cool, also white or orange saum, festae would cause a nightmare, bumble bee oscar would be cool or maybe brasiliensis?
South American knife species?
Mini montoro?

Hahahahahahaha definitely NOT a jaguar. Parachromis are nuts. I like the motoro idea but I'm not sure how they would get along with the Surinam and jurupari.

I don't know I want to keep it all South American but what's the difference really. I also considered Vieja syns

Get a big pearsei. As you stated you wanted to really keep it SA but you can't beat a nice pearsei!

I would go synspilum. Besides the fact that are gorgeous fish, they are typically not aggressive and are good community fish. Oscar and true parrot would be a crapshoot in regards to aggression

Keep in mind urau can get very big, 16-18 inch no? They will be the centre piece...
I would go saum myself to inject a bit more colour.
