sean, ive seen plenty of people who have successfully had octofasciatus (jack dempsey), rivulatus sp (green terror), meeki (firemouth) and other various pleco/catfish species in a 55G, it come be easily done with tolerant fish and aslong as maintenance is of good quality and is kept up with then the fish can live happily in a 55.

personally i have 1 55G tank with a dovii in it.

u put a dovii in a 55? i hope thats just temporary

again with the EBJD it depends on the fish. i had one that harassed anything his size or smaller in the tank. he was about 4" at the time.
