So now that i have decided to screw the oscar, for a hopefully later bigger community tank, I have decided on for my south American tank:
Ta daaaa:
1 x red spotted servrum
4 x Uaru chiclid
2 x Green servrum
3 x pictus cats
6 x Silver dollars (Smallest possible size)

TANK: 120gal 60" by 18" dual over flow
SUMP: Trigger 36Gal

Ant ideas what to lower numbers or to take out?

Lots of large fish, imo it will be overstocked. I understand you want big fish but the tank isn't very large and most of the species listed are bulky, messy or skittish. You would have a much more aesthetically pleasing aquarium if you allow the species room to behave naturally. I find watching fish display interesting behaviour and generally being active superior to packing species into a small space because they are attractive. This may not make you happy to read but it is in the interest of your stock. What happened to the idea of a tetra shoal? Eventually the uaru and severums will form breeding pairs which will create mayhem and possibly casualties. Why not stock with one pair of the severums or uaru and then the sds, cats and the b/a shoal?

9 potential 10" cichlids plus 4 6", plus catfish and silver dollars in a 120? way too many
I would aim for more like 4 of either the uaru or severums, with the bandits. And would forget about the SD's with this full of a tank.
