That sounds better bioload-wise, but having only 2 of each species presents a new problem. If you have 2 males, chances are larger male will bully smaller to death. If you have pairs and they breed, 3 breeding pairs of the cichlids won't have enough territory to share in a 4 foot tank. 2 females of each species would most likely work, though even females can be bullies.
I would personally recommend picking between severums or uaru, and doing a group of 4 (1m 3f would be best) with the bandits. Bandits could be a pair.
if you must have all species, a single severum with a group of 3 uaru would probably be ok. Although with cichlid communities it's impossible to give a straight answer on whether it will work or not, depends on your fish
