Finally a bichir!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Moved my 29 gallon upstairs. Sand created a mess (guess i shoulda used pool filter sand instead of play sand) I hope no nasty pockets form in the 4 days i have to wait for my MTSs to arrive.....and i suppose i'll have to wait a few weeks for all sand problems to clear up before i complete my predator tank.

BTW, its NICE being next to my bed, really relaxing.

i know, bad picture, his head is the onlything that really came out good.

He is growing pretty good so far, and the sand has settled in my 29 gallon tank, and my MTSs are coming in a few days so i'm hoping to get him transfered before long.

WOAH!!!!!!!! HES TINY!!!!!!!!! very cute though.

Yup, haven't exactly measured, but i'm guessing somehwere around 1 1/2 in. I'm just gunn have to power feed him until he gets somehwere in the 3-4 in range and can hold his own against a leaf fish, then he is goin into the sand tank.

BTW: i put a worm in my sand bottom tank, and it burrowed into the sand (lol i guess not such a good idea) and i was wondering if my yoyo's will be able to get it or what i should do.

OMG little bichir went in my 29 gallon tank before i got my leaf fish, and i put a worm in for the leaf fish to eat, and well it wasn't very interested.

but come to see about 10 minutes later, here is my little senegal eating a worm bigger then him :) lol, it tried to get the whole thing, but he stoped after eating a nice portion. wow! oh and the leaf fish hasn't eaten yet.

Nice! It is impresive when the really little bichirs go after live food... I almost started a new thread when my little one ate his first rosy red!
