I have been seeing allot of post asking about a algae eater for the brackish tank. well the problem has been solved!
It is a snail called the nerite snail It is very efficient at cleaning algae in a BW tank. But puffer might eater them or I should say will eat them but if you don't have any in your BW tank then your probably ok. My puffer has not bothered the larger ones at all but he will instantly eat the small ones. so you could use them in a tank with a puffer if he is like mine.

Thery're pretty tough little guys. There's a few varieties around, such as the Red onion, zebra and the tiny porcupine snail.

you didn't know this? i've got olive nerites in my FW,BW and SW tanks. they're amazing little snails that will live for many many years and thrive in almost any condition. they're one weakness appears to be monster hermit crabs and they have very thick shells.
