I have been in the ray realm for 3 years now and just got my inside tank set up on a drip system. I know this is not really ray related but was excited to share. I am running dual carbon filters and have the line tied into my hot and cold water so I am dripping with 75 degree water (heaters will heat rest of way) and 90 gallons a day on a 280 gallon system. Took forever to reach this setting. Water is really good, coming out at 7.2 pH and 120 ppm hardness. I set it up inside my stand just above the sump so everything is hidden and if it leaks then it won't get on my floor:) I am dripping on the return side and the drain is on the filter sock side of the sump.

Sweet deal Mike. And you lady and baby are beautiful!

Are you running well water? or city/tap water for the drip?? Whats the carbon filters going to be used for?

i have been considering the same idea. what are you doing for water treatment like prime? do you think the carbon is enough..that and the water temperature are my biggest concerns.

Nice job. I'm curious about your water as well.

Oops, did not mean to add pics of my wife and my son Jayden but that was what they were doing while I was adjusting water flow. I have city water with just chlorine. The carbon filters remove the chlorine at a slow drip and last 3 months if you have decent water like I do. I will probably change every 2 months to be safe at $12 for a twin pack. I could actually just run one filter but wanted 2 for added piece of mind. I got everything at lowes for $110. The fittings and reducers add up quick. I have been checking parameters out of the line for most of the day and everything is working good. Nitrates are around 5 ppm out of the tap. I am not adding anything else as far as chems go. I had existing hot and cold lines under my stand which is how I use to change water. I tied them together and have the hot barely cracked open to achieve 75 degrees. This ratio will have to change as the temp outside goes up.

WOW. sooooo what happens if the city water company decided to use chloramine as well? will the carbon take that out as well?!

I've got a similar set up and have been thinking about adding the hot water side as you have. Were there any issues you had to overcome?

Great job Mike, looks great and SO much less water maintenance. Jayden is huge man...what are you feeding him!? lol
