3 is a very tough start even as babies. 5 is much easier to do. Current helps and always having another one in there face makes them less aggressive. As well as food lower lights and larger topwater tankmates to chase

hey dragonfish1ca nice fish ! . i seen a larger maybe 18 inch albino recently at a fish store in toronto i think he was 14 or 15 hundred retail .
i thought he was pretty nice but too much money just for the fact it was albino ( for my wallet anyway ) .

can i ask what size tank you have them in now ? im currently trying to keep some silvers together . three of them, its been a bit of a challenge so far . i have read ells were also that 5 or more is the secrete number . and indeed even two seems to be going better for me then 3 at the moment . could be that my tank there in now is just too small also . i may have to move them too a bigger tank sooner then i thought . i was hoping to get through till around december then put them in a 180 but might have to do it sooner i think.

anyway its cool to see someone eles trying it at the same time . i will be watching your thread hope you keep the updates coming . oh ya and how many inches are these guys at the moment ? thanks..

The biggest is around 10" the tank they are in now is a 4x3x2 but there going into my 8x3x2 once the K1 media is stable on that system. Ive had 2 silvers together for years living fine and one day i had to seperate at 26" maybe. Aros are very unpredictable.... ive had a few asian comms now and for sure its safer with 5 or more but you also need a big tank after the 12" mark and still one ends up a bull male be prepared to sell it lol the comm will always have small fights but every once in a while you get a jerk that just wont stop so plan ahead and be ready for torn fins and scrapes.

I was so worried when i put the order in they would be white treatment or have black pupils.

Im looking at a couple albino silvers is this something people do? is there anyway to avoid it or know?

I got mine at the same price from a LFS and AquaScape also saw them as high as $1199 for a 10". few months back I herd there were some priced to move at a LFS for $499 but never saw them
