No, it was caught at an urban city park lake. If it makes everyone feel better the lake is huge has a large population of bass and when it was caught the park ranger was present. I told him I had an aquarium and asked him if I could take it. He smiled and his only reply was: "Well, you better hurry up and get the heck out of here then." That's why in my earlier post on the first page I said that when I caught it I threw it in the bucket and booked it. He was pretty chill.troubleshootn;4197205; said:Just to chime in for a min, the LMB was caught in a private pond correct??

I only asked because he happened to be present when it was hooked. Otherwise I still would have taken him home. After watching vids of pet largemouth on youtube, I was going to get my hands on one one way or another. If any of you remember my post about attempting to buy one at 99 ranch market, I was just lucky enough to catch a juvenile that I can raise.Raetak;4199137; said:
Well, that's a new twist to the story altogether. Okay you're good I can'y possibly blame you if you asked the ranger... omg, that ranger sucks at his job lol.

alot of people start off there fishing/fish keeping life with keeping a fish they caught as a pet and when we do that, yea i did it to, we mostly dont know the laws or the consequences and wtf not, but its one bass the odds of it surving to adult hood are still realy slim, thats y they lay thousands of eggs, still not the best method of getting a fish but we arent killing it
