ok so since its my 1st midas cichlid i have a question looked at him today and hes starting to get black on his tips of his fins and a lil on body is that normal?

great choice for wet pet , tough tough fish , I think filtration is key with these guys much like the flowerhorns , I have a 55gallon wet dry (diy)with 13 gallons of bioballs , quite one pumps about 1000gals an hour into his own 125 gal tank , overkill I know but he is huge , and draws blood every time I let my guard down when I clean his tank , and from Rapps ,youll have a show piece

Well a lil late for the month update but here he is I didn't notice till I saw he's old pics onn here hesgetting some white on him and also hesgrown an inch or less but he's gotten thicker mostly he's at 3 1/2 inches now and he's starting to get his nuchal hump I'm guessing it will be good genes on that hump? Tell me what you think guys!
