Yeah the other cuban was very skittish when I came in to shoot. I think it's the change to the much smaller tank. I amuse that it was the male because the female was defending the pot at all costs.

Cubans are hearty fish, they should ship with no problem.

It's funny your male seems so skittish, mine is a glassbanger (not crazy like a red devil or anything, but he will definitely get in your face if you provoke him with your hands or something). Maybe he will gain some confidence once he settles in more and gets a bit bigger. I've seen really shy fish do a complete 180 personality wise.

Congrats on your 1st spawn! After my pair of cubans had there 1st batch they started breeding like convicts, all the time in my 150g community tank, my other ca/sa cichlids just eat the fry!

Congrats...looks like you have eggs on the pot and plate? That's alot of eggs! Cubans are good breeders and will breed every chance they get!
