My eclipse (sun) catfish grows pretty slowly, you should be fine for awhile

Yeah, I've heard that as well, just a long term thought. Some may never grow that large anyways.

No problem if they don't take pellets, meaty foods are fine as well, especially for predatory species.

Btw, what species is your pleco?

Ok, so im guessin eclipse cat and sun cats are the same thing lol. So mine hasnt grown hardly at all in the couple months i've had it.

Honestly couldnt tell ya the species on the pleco. i really dont know much about plecos. Ill see if i can get a pic. He was given to me by the pet store and they said he was just a common pleco.

this is an amazing tank, one of the best on the site, i love pretty much everything about it. Sometimes when you see a fish tank your like "yeah, that tank is cool" but SOMETIMES you see a tank and your like "WHOA!!?!?!? Maybe I'll take a sledge hammer and bash up my tank because I DON'T have this one!" Win!

 Now now...we cant have that beautiful native tank gettin ****** up.

Interesting idea cyber, gonna have to try that one. Still gonna have to make sure the hit the filter current and "run from her" though lol

Pictus catfish prefer not to be alone, I had one alone and I think it wasn't quite as active as it should have been. Try adding more pictus catfish, once you get them in a group, they are very fun fish to watch.
