I always love when someone builds a tank, and I swear it doesn't matter how big it is, someone has to say why didn't you build it wider!
That tank is very awsome! I love the concept and the fish! What do people say when you have them over and they see it for the first time?

How big is the bala? Love the tank. How long did it take from start to finsh.
About 10 or 11 inches. I built the tank in under 2 weeks, and it was surprisingly cheap. It cost me less than my 125. The secret is to find cheap glass.

what fish did the tiger shovelnose get and where's the flagtail?
The tiger got a lima shovelnose, nearly the same size. I want a large clownknife, i have one in my 125, but he will never grow fast enough to put in the 600. The tiger already ate two clowns the same size as him. I need to get one larger than the tiger. The arro usually doesnt bother with other fish.

Are those live spider plants?
No live plants, the tank is almost 48" deep, I dont have enough lighting.

If I had a nickel for everytime someone asks why I didnt make it wider.
I am simply out of room, or it would have been longer, and wider. I have a sink behind the tank, and didnt feel like replumming everything.

Usually the first response from friends and coworkers is a laugh. Everyone thinks Im crazy.

Well im short a lima now.:irked: The tigershovelnose, common pleco, 2 red claw lobster, looking for a large clownknife, and Ive been thinking of a florida gar, and maybe a ray.

If the Tiger keeps eating everything, perhaps considering taking him out and putting others in that wont get eaten?
But hes my favorite.
