This is what I did.
1. Set up a holding tank at the current house and use water from main tank. (I used two FX5 to filter the holding tank with old media). I also added a few large sponge filters to get bacteria going on the sponges. Also before moving the fish to the holding tank I prepared them by cutting back on feeding. The whole process took me 2 weeks.
2. Move the fish into the holding tank. And drain the main tank.
3. Set up the tank/filters at the new house. Add the sponge filters, run it for a week. Move the fish over to the main tank. Drain the holding tank. And you're done. :)

I was lucky enough to have friends who let me borrow bins/tanks to use as holding tanks. I also bought bags, and O2 to make sure the move was easier instead of putting them in buckets.

Hope this helps.

Awesome stuff. Glad everything went well. Collection is awesome. You're def. one of those people who break all the rules and are an inspiration.
