Finally finished my DIY Background

well this one has been a LOOONG time in the works. I started it back when I read AC.com exclusively :screwy: (mostly out of ignorance!)

Anyways, it's a fiberglass/concrete/epoxy background, that makes up a hollow 3D cave structure, that adds to the aesthetics, and also provides large sheltered areas for the fish to hide/explore. The whole build can be found here:

Thanks everybody. I'm pretty happy with the result myself. The tank is a 200gal plywood job. (5.5x2x3)

As for the caves taking up a lot of space - they do occupy a pretty solid volume... but like I said, they are hollow, so the fish can swim behind what you see. The ony fish who won't go near them is my Silver Aro. Even the oscar will hang out in the dark shelter if he's feeling pouty enough.
