the thrim only blocks out 1.5" on the bottom (wich is only the gravel) and about 1/2-3/4" on the sides wich really isnt that big of a deal...to me at least.
heres a pic of the back i accidently left out.
Ah, it looks like it's blocking about 4" of tank, but it's just air space. Cool, makes the tank look bigger and gives the whole thing a heavy, overbuilt appearance.
