Catching that fish in Africa? Are you positive about that? In the location I am in, those fish aren't difficult to come across and specimens at around three inches are only 30 USD, maximum. If they were truly all caught in Africa, or even shipped from a breeder in Africa, wouldn't they be less affordable?

Its commonly accepted they haven't been bred in captivity yet, unless some farm is keeping it a secret. Affordable Pet Solutions also sells their ATF for 30$ each. The reason the prices have went down is because the demand has gone up, which means the supply has gone up, making them less rare and not worth what they used to be at such small sizes

Less rare? As in more are caught or less rare in the trade? Because at my fish market I probably see an average of 30 per day, ranging in size.

Sorry I meant to say do you mean that more are in nature? I didn't mean to ask "As in more are caught"

He just means that since they've become popular in the trade, more are being caught and brought in. As they become more available, the prices come down (generally speaking). So less rare = less rare to us in the hobby, not necessarily in the wild.
