Eel looks great Liz. Mine has been very picky. Started off with only wanting bloodworms. Then to ghost shrimp, then went to red wigglers. Now eats only earthworms. The good thing with that is he come right to the top and eats from my hand. The tiretrack is more skittish but will eat anything. In no time you will have him fat and brightened up I'm sure.
 
thanks for the tip... he is eating great on the blood worms and seems to be non skiddish.. will go all over the tank and look for tiny bites he missed.. so far so good.. thinking of putting him in my 65 gal with angles and tetras and loaches and a pleco.. is pleco and loaches not a good idea?
 
Mine is in with an angel, discus, BGK, and plecos. The only issue is the peco wants to live in the same cave.

How big are the loaches? If not too small they should be ok.

they are big... 3.5 to 4.5 inches... thats great ...thanks..

You're lucky that he's eating so early, it can take weeks sometime.

I have 7 CLs with my fire eel.

How big is your fire eel? It looks pretty nice.
