Well it's been 3 months in the making but the tank is nearly done. I am just waiting for an order on some plumbing parts and media. Tank is 96" x 42" x30" and the sump is 72" x 26" x 22". I am going to plumb it hard pvc this time. This will be a nice clean setup and easy to maintain once I am done!

Nice looking tank. Love the width and the overflows. How many socks are you planning on running, any additional mechanical filtration?

Awesome setup and great footprint, can't wait to see it done. What's the stock going to be?

That has to be the sexiest filter i've seen, and I'm going to use this one to redesign my old.

Thank you

Great looking setup, can't wait to see the progress
Thanks. Just got the bio-balls today. I should have the bulkheads on Monday.

There is 2-7" socks and 2-4" socks. In the middle I just put 15 gallons of bio-balls and the other two eggcrates will have some foams of some sort on them. Maybe some jap mat or something like that and also some biospheres on top of the foams. I am taking some media from my 450 gallon to get this tank cycled. The media choices to put in this sump are endless.

Thanks. I have a sump similar to this on my 450 gallon. I did a few modifications but my other sump supports 9 rays,2 blackarowana,3 indo's and 4 pbass with good results. I am also putting on a uv sterilizer. Keeps the water nice and clear.

Sounds great! Keep us posted on what the final decision is on the filter media. I run several 7" 200 micron socks with 50lbs of submerged ceramic rings at the moment and have been looking into the jap mat as a possible sump addition.
