Ive been wanting one of these forever and was about to order one when one appeared at the lfs.

Im down to just my severum and black ghost in my 125, and the lemon oscar will be the third and last fish in that tank. The sev is 4 inches, the bgk is about 7 and the lemon is tiny at 2 inches, so I partitioned him off till his 75 gallon growout is ready. I put him in two hours ago and hes already eaten all of the different kinds of pellets my other fish wouldnt eat :)

Anyhow, here he is:

Cool. The way these guys eat, it'll catch up in size in very quickly. I have 2 tiger oscars that eat so much, sometimes I distract them to one side of the tank to feed my other fishes. Not only that, they're such messy eaters...they're the reason I have to frequently do water changes.

Thanks, I hope he lives up to that oscar quality, Im not sure about him because he really isnt exactly like a regular oscar, he actually seems a little runty, but I bought him because I really wanted one. Normally Id choose a livelier and healthier fish, but we'll see how he works out. He ate well yesterday, seems slightly off today, but I havent fed yet so we'll see.

Cool little oscar but Looks like regular Lutino to me? Shouldn't lemons have no black in their fins?
Or is lemon a name used for yellow Oscars?

You know, I dont know. I didnt know about the black fins, either way I like this guy and he has that gold color that got me into wanting a lemon. I guess we'll see.

Great lookin o but i always thought there was no black in the fins too

Cool fish either way. Maybe the black goes as they grow?
