Finally got a Poly!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! He's being stubborn so far and won't eat anything other than brine shrimp, but I'm working on that I can't believe how active he is either; definately a huge change from my Violet Goby and I'm very happy I made the purchase.

Oh, and I love your butterfly too! I think it's a female...
You'll probably want to get a few more butterflies. Mine are more active when there's a group of them.

Thanks, I have no idea how to sex these guys. Admittedly the butterfly was more of an impulse buy and I only got one because I had read that they were intolerant of other surface dwellers. But mine hasn't moved from the corner of the tank in two days, and the more I read about them the more I think I need to go back and get the other one (LFS only had 2) before someone else beats me to it.

It's pretty easy to sex Butterfly fish. The female's anal fin looks like a big triangle (like yours). The males anal is modified, so it looks like 2 different fins. Like this.
