finally got a tokay

i have always wanted one, they have some nice teeth on em so watch out. you most likely wont tame him, but feed mostly insects and maybe pinky mice once every 2 months or so when its bigger.

A buddy of mine had a 14" tokay and was fed pinky's at least once a week and i seen it take down a fuzzy as well it was cool i don't know how it affected it's health long term but it was a big strong lizard and liked to eat real meat over bugs any day.

And it would prolly destroy a finger or 5 if it wanted to.

Yes, and so is humidity.

Speaking of tame. Lots of stuff can be tame, like Bubba. He was like a 1 in a million chance though, I wouldn't dare put my face close to any other gator.

today when i went near the tank it started barking(yes barking)and struck the glass with its mouth open.It is fairly mean.even with a glove i could feel strong pressure on my finger.It is about 8 inches long.

"Tame a tokay"....... worst purchase i've ever made.......hate the darn things, it almost took my finger off, my amazon tree boa is a doll compared to that satanic beast........ had to get rid of the "thing"..

just had to laugh at that.

i had a 14 inch male that was tame..i held it everyday from the egg, he lived for 8 years

they can be tamed, just takes time and patience
