yeah, they seem to be fine right now...I've been keeping an eye on them. The guy gave me some kind of Kens food? Said it's what he feeds them when they are that small. I feed them 2-3 times a day in small doses, they are eating like holiday hams!!! Cubans have some really nice markings already and the festaes fins are turning colors! I can't wait!!

nice! yeah these guys are pigs, and my cubans that i had grew like crazy, they are super fast growers, and i would actually up the feeding to 4x a day when they are that small and just make sure to do more waterchanges, when i had my fry i fed 4-5x a day small feedings and did 50% wc every other day on my 20g long
I just never wanted to pay the shipping on the fish so I finally got a free moment to make a 1 1/2hr drive to pick them up.

I just sold my wild female; it took about 8 months for her to heal after the male turned on her. He is now at 10", and will bite me if I put my hand in the tank.
He will kill anything put into the tank with him; even the 180 gallon was too small for his aggression. I have him in his own 75 gallon because he won't tolerate any other fish. He's broken two thermometers because he doesn't like them, and has knocked the canister intake out of the tank (running the canister dry) twice. His face has scars from his repeated beating his head into the glass fighting his own reflection.
The male moves all of the sand into the far corner (about 80 pounds of it) within 2 hours, and can move a ~10 pound chunk of driftwood across the length of the tank. He won't tolerate any decoration in the tank if he can move or destroy it. I'm worried that he will grow to his full 16".
I hope yours aren't even partially as violent as mine.

Wow, sounds like a nasty guy!! I hope mine won't be like that but who knows they have personalities so I'll just have to hope for the most mellow of them all. =D
