Finally got it looking good!! What do you think?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The new plant seems to be a dracaena... it normally spends some time submerged and the rest out of the water... So i suggest you take it off the aquarium every 2-3 months or so to place it in a pot for 1 month or so. This should also promote growth.

Also, a black or blue background should be nice... hide the equipment behind the tank and emphasize more the colour of your plants, roots and fish.

Thanks for the info... I will pull it out time to time, but when I do what do you suggest I plant it in?
Also I have a black background on it:grinno:

You do? Oh I'm sorry! I guess the light reflecting on it too much...

Looks great. I swear that I watch the planted 29 in my room more than the TV.

Great looking tank man. I usually keep most of my tanks stocked with java moss and this really cool dark brown macroalgea I have been culturing for years now. This is my 29 that I chose to only use the algea. I like the way it turned out. Anyway it has the same idea as yours kinda, just thought it'd help to see a different perspective. Keep it up man, oh yeh loose the sword. If you like that blade look I think some Crypto. or Microsword would great in the forground. Both do real well in so so lighting with some liquid C02 a couple times a week.
