Finally got my 150 gallon tank from the guy. He threw out his back and couldn't help carry it and there was no way I was going to risk dropping it myself so I had to spend a little more money than I planned and hire movers.

He didn't clean it out quite as much as I would have liked, there are a few leaves inside it. Figured I'd give it a cleaning...but have no clue how. Would the best way just be water, elbow grease, and siphoning out?

Over the years Ive Resurrected a handful of filthy 40b Tanks from my old man's garage.

Water works Good.

I Use rubbing alcohol and a fine cloth towel. Even paper towel works.

Be mindful of The silicone when using elbow grease near the corners

Does it have a lot of hardwater stains?

No, none in fact. It's just this guy has a ton of aquariums so this was sitting outside when I first saw it. Underneath of a little shelter and under a tarp, but still managed to get some leaves in.

With no hard water stains you could likely get away with just water. I'd leave the tank outside for a day filled with water to make sure all the seams are good.
