Haha no, we were about 70 miles offshore. A bit of a pedal! On a side note, I got confirmation today that Im going to captain a boat for this year instead of running kayak fishing charters. Which is awesome since I just put $3k down on a pair of new 2015 Outbacks...

Are you gonna be operating out of Mobile or somewhere in 'Bama?? The reason I ask is that if I end up in Ocean Springs at all this summer I may want to wet a line or 2 offshore.

Out here kayak fishermen utilize a "mother ship" to ferry kayaks 30-40 miles offshore to fish for tuna. Do they do that at all down south?

Rob, I will be running charters out Pensacola and Destin, Fl. I will be running a 24ft Pathfinder, its an awesome bay/nearshore boat but its not something youd run out to swordfish/marlin grounds with. However mackerel, snapper, grouper etc will be in range offshore. And depending on the time of year we can target sailfish, blackfin tuna, mahi and tarpon.
