Stunning and fat male.
Congrats!
Thanks for the further observation HarleyK. Either male or female, I'm thrilled with its appearance. Problem is it's been three weeks today since collection and it hasn't fed at all. Annoying to say the least. It gets no bother from any tank mates whatsoever. I'll just keep watching and waiting I guessOn second thought, the dorsal fin may be just a bit too short for a male. It should extend above the adipose fin, which is doesn't.
The markings are beautiful, though, much more intense than usual in a female.
Either way, a stunner.
The previous owner fed it exclusively on floating carnivore pellets, freeze dried adult Krill. Not sure if it ever took prawn and the like. He gave me a tub of the pellets/krill mix. It's not touched anything and I've watched, at length sometimes. I feed my rays prawn and pellets mostly, both sink I know, but the Odoe has shown no interest. Don't wish to add guppies or any feeders. It's a thick set fish, looks healthy so I'm not overly worried, just have fingers crossed it will break the hunger strikeWhat have you tried to feed it, and what did the previous owner feed it?
