Finally got ornate....Yes!

My major obstacle this time was the 3 RBP's I had. I found a good home for them. One of my friends from work wanted them. He seemed sincere and I think will take very good care of them from some conversations we have had about keeping fish. He has owned P's before and thought about getting some more.
Later I'll be getting a larger tank for him when he gets bigger. It still has plenty of room in my 55 gal. for now. In the 55 gal. now is my ornate bichir, 1 four line pictus, and 1 farlowella cat.
I only have one thing about him though. My bichir is missing one eye. I didn't notice that at the LFS, but that's not to say it didn't happen there either. From what I have watched it is getting along great with its tankmates. I was thinking of going back and trade it for another one, but the drive is long and it seems to be doing just fine.
Congrats man, I know you will enjoy him immensly! I love both of mine. They each have their own distinct personalities.
Exactly! Which means of course that have PLENTY of room for the two delhezi showing up at work tomorrow
I'd go both ewurm! If not i'd go for the endli as everyone needs a couple of lower jaws and you're just not a real poly keeper til you've got an endli imo! When you say the colours aren't impressive is it definitely an endli endli or a congicus? See pics of my endli's and congicus to make sure cos if it's a congicus get it! Truly a monster, mine grew ten inches in 3 months!
The Ornate in my 100 gal has grown nicely.......so much so that he went thru 10 good sized tiger barbs that I threw in for dithers in about 2 1/2 days!

My ornate almost had a victim already.
I should of know better but still caught it in time. The farlowella cat is now in the 10 gal. temporarily until my other 55 gets running. Which shouldn't be too long I got the tank and stand. I just got to cycle it. I might just use some of my water out of other tank and old filters.
Well as you can guess I caught it dragging the farlowella cat by the tail chomping it too. Grabbed my net and touched the Ornate with it. It imediately let go and I quickly scooped up the farlowella plopped him in the 10 gal. He doesn't look damaged except the very back of the tail fin shredded a little.
Even though it did that, it still does no wrong in my book. I can already tell I'm going to spoil it.
