lol, I was gonna add something to the effect of, "Way to go teaching her that she's gonna lose a staring contest before she tries." But I figured that would have been misinterpreted. lol. I legitimately thought a 40-some odd year old woman would know better than a what? 7? year old girl. lol. Guess not....I was crackin up when she told me she was waving her arms around like the shrimp does and staring him down, waiting for him to run and hide. My mom is too cute sometimes....But mostly in a sad way... :/

Anyway, Enough Kelly-spam for one night, lol. Those pics are just too cute! :thumbsup:
 
figure i would throw an update of the gars out there.

the trops are doing fantastic, their eyes have cleared all the way from a little cloudyness from shipping. they have not been real agressive toward anything but me. both trops and my cuban are on missions to remove a finger of mine. although they have been a calm addition to the tank, when food get tossed in, it is on like donkey kong. it is an all out snatch and run by all other gars as the two trops go nuts to eat everything up.

istill have 3 more to add to the gar tank once they are of size. a lng and 2 fl. i plan on getting a spotted for this tank aswell. that would give me all gars but gator in the collection. as i have stated before i will have a gator tank in the future.

yes i have one cuban in the tank with them. i had two cubans but one got eaten when they were small. here is the list of gars from both my gar tanks. all but 2 fl and 1 lng are together.

1x cuban
2x tropical
5x florida
3x longnose
1x shortnose

i have been thinking of moving my vatf into the gar tank. i have it now with the lng and florida growouts as a test. they have been together for a few months and no issues. i am reluctant due to the size of the tropicals and my bowfin. my bowfin is the same size as the vatf, but she is a mean one.

well i put the smaller gars in the big tank and nothing is showing them interest. while i was at it i put the vatf in the tank.....nothing is even looking at it twice. the bowfin showed faint interest but lost it when it after a nip and got no response.

ill be watching the tank closely. no gars have done anything. the vatf is cruZing the tank and chilling with the gar pack and it looks pimp!
