Finally I was "that lucky guy"

On Craigslist I found a guy selling a minnow tank for $100 bucks. He sent me pictures, We talked and he warned me about how heavy and big this thing was. I jumped at it. he delivered it. And He was right, this thing weighed a mega ton. You can tell He put a lot of time and effort into building it. I couldn't even haggle him. Although nicely built, I decided to toss the plywood cabinet. Glad I did, It stunk! plus took up half of the garage. Underneath I found an insulated minnow tank. It's a Frigid Unit. It has removable acrylic partitions and a bathtub like drain. It's kind of old, but is in very good shape. a model like this retails new for $2500. I plan to take some restorative/preservation measures before I set it up.

Got a 220g tank, stand, sump, bioballs, 2x powerful pumps, pads, pvc, lighting fixture w/ bulbs, etc., used but in perfect working order for $1300 from my LFS. The lighting fixture alone is like $700 new, and each of the pumps is a few hundred at least. That's more expensive than the other stuff on here but still a great value I think!

I had to pay movers to get it into my apartment, but the LFS also set it up and fixed a leak in one of the pipes for free. (I tipped.)

I'm back! Just picked up a 4x2x2 in
Pretty good condition plus black cabinet, hood, aqua one cf 2400 filter, 300w heater and an internal power filter for $200 AUS dollars (pickup this weekend). Also scored a near new FX5 and a piece of awesome driftwood ( 4 feet long) for $250.... Too happy!!

I recently got a 100 gallon truvu, stand, homemade canopy and a fluval 305 for $100
Tank needed alot of work, im in process of buffing it to get rid of the cloudiness.
Got another deal tomorrow im picking up a 12" Pleco and a 7" Bala shark for $10 to add to my tank.
