So last week I posted that I was about to get my first real monster aquarium. Won it over Ebay.
For those who didnt see that, heres the specs;
Rena 120x50, roughly 350 litres. Came with marine blue and white bulbs, an Eheim Professional external and Vectron UV steriliser.... for £115.39 ($218) DEAL!!!
Sooo, now my Oscar and Bristlenose plec have a Finding Nemo situation lol.
Here's the pics of it up and running, been going for 3 days now, not as good as I want it because it has my mature Fluval 3 in there to help things along. Tested water today,,, ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate <5

1st pic was taken just after it was finished, to the left is the 33 gallon I was replacing!

I have the 5 inch Oscar and 5 inch bristlenose... tomorrow I have a Syno species going in. Getting a Golden Nugget Plec, Ornate Bichir and probably a group of 6 tigerbarbs.

What you guys, gals and fish pals think? Be gentle :)

Congratulations - it looks nice.

My only question is this: the tiger barbs, are they meant to be feeders?

Tiger Barbs will be feeders if not even indended to be.
Good Luck with new monster get more than one poly you won't regret it.

I was trying to "be gentle" as the OP requested :D

OK might ditch the tiger barbs idea, although the ones I have found are massssive! He and the Bristlenose have been living together since the beginning so are ok. The syno is gorgeous and will post pics asap. I was thinking bout an ornate bichir and delhezi but worried it would be too crowded? I do love bichirs. I am planning to add some more bogwood for hiding spots so the golden nugget and bristlenose should be cool.

Nice looking tank man. Doesnt it feel good to see your old tank next to your new one. When I fisrt got my fish I got 2 gouramis in a 3 gallon tank. Then I was hooked so I got my 30 gallon tank and even though thats not a big tank either I love getting a tank that you can fit your old tank in.
