Nice little male. Yeah it took me about a year to get one. Now i have 7 dovii. # females and 4 males. One male is 10in. Trying to breed them and spread them more into the hobby. Gl with yours. Awesome fish with loads of personality.

thanks. mine is in with 2 smaller F dovii's and 2 smaller F umbees. hopefully it pairs with one of them lol

I just got rid of 2 males for cheap, my big male did not like competiton.

currently everything i own is small lol. i got rid of all my big fish to start a fresh with the fish that i like the most
i've been growing dovii's and umbees out in seperate tanks, and all of them have turned out to be female. i have 1 umbee left that i'm still unsure of the sex though.

so i have my 7' with this 6" male, 2 female dovii's around 4.5" and 2 female umbees 3 - 5".
my 5' tank has 1 dovii growing out which i'm still unsure of sex
and my 6' tank has 1 umbee and some loaches

if i get males in a few months
i'll forsure get a 220 and get rid of the 80
