Well thought I would share a sneak peak of what has been taking forever. Moved them over xmas eve and still waiting for a few things. Once I get the lights in and everything is settled I will get close ups and take some good pics but here is all for now. Top tank has five 8"-17" rays and a large fire eel and bottom tank has four 15"-22+" rays.

Sweet Setup, glad to see it all coming together. But holy Cow look at that fire eel!!! Its HUGE, If you guys have not seen it in the pic look at the far left in the top tank, Need some pics of that beast. Still on my wish list for someday to own one. That's a very impressive specimen.

Good for you Jeffers, tanks look good size. How many gallons?

thanks took far to long to finally get set up. lots of set backs. top tank is a 8x4 350 (not as tall as I would like) and bottom is a 7x40" 380

Thanks. fire eel is I believe 27" long and is mad because I didn't bring his 6" pipe that he likes to sit in and be hand fed in. but he/she is rubbing on the top of the pipe now so I need to get a bigger pipe. once I get that he will go into the bottom tank.

Wow looks very nice! What size are the two tanks and agreed I think we need some pics of not only that beast eel but the other rays as well!

thanks keister. not much of a sneak peak if I take close ups of every thing ;) in due time I will. still tweaking the electrical, tank and lighting. using an oddball assortment so I can light it up right now.

Heavy works done hey.
Looks like you have done the best you could with the space you have.

Looking good!

Keep the updates coming.

Nice! What are you using for filtration?

Yeah its a small room but only one with a concrete floor since it was added on and no finished basement. Had to take our the large closet to make things work right

Using a converted Hayward 24 sand filter with Ultima media with a hammerhead and the stock tank above the bottom tank has most of the media from my old tank with a flow rate of about 1000gph that I will slowly take out and add plants to
Sorry for the sideways pic

About time, it has only been what 2 years in the making? I love it, very homemade and putting the rays needs first. There is one ray well maybe two that I will be patiently waiting for an update on (:
