Finally my 2 custom tanks had arrived!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Question 1:
I had thought long and hard for a duplex setup like that. I could not figure out where to put the filtration (canisters and/or sumps).

How have you managed filtration for those two tanks?

Question 2:
I strongly believe any attempts to "control" the natural growth-rate of a fish lead to health issues. Trying to slow the grow-rate will mean a stunted fish.

Is my understanding incorrect? Can you point me to some good reference of how to slow down the growth-rate of a fish like a Pima (or a Aligator Gar) in a way which doesn't cause stunting?

Also: You guys in Singapore are some of the luckiest aquarist of the world given the variety of fish available to you. :)

Thank you,

1)My top tank is running on overhead filtration,2nd tank below is running on canister.

2)My pima or gars are in very good shape even i don't feed them every day, pima are very good eater(greedy) and a very fast growing species.I don't really do much,i just make sure their water are in tip top condition.I don't feel it every day but i don't starve it,i make sure once a week i will feed it well.Till now it works for me :) (from last year March till now, from a 4inch plus to now a 16inch) facts are still facts,no matter how you control they will still be able to grow till a monster size but till that day arrived i will have a pond ready for it:D
