Bare tank & stand. Stand is 2x4 & 2 x 6 construction. Stained and polyurethane coating for water resistance.

Wife and I did the tank background last night. Did not want to paint this tank back and have to wait days for paint to dry. So I went to a local sign maker and had him cut me some black self adhesive vinyl and applied it to the back of the tank. Took a little work but I like the look. I found that while sqeegying the vinyl background that it made some interesting patterns appear. Hard to photograph but basically black with some nice patterning. This stuff has an adhesive backing protected by paper. Application consists of making a soapy water solution (couple of drops of soap in a spray bottle of water then soak the glass and soak the vinyl as the paper backing is slowly removed. This takes 2 people. You then get vinyl in place and squeegy (slide credit card or similar at an angle across entire surface from one side to the other until all air bubbles and trapped water are removed). Soap and water dry out overnight and vinyl adhesive sets to back glass.
