You should be okay. Just hope your LFS doesn't send you ansorgiixendli hybrid instead of a real ansorgii. :eek:

While I really like my weeksii, there was a time I almost sold it. It really was a shy poly and I was used to the outgoing nature of my sens, and delhezi. This fish may require some patience for it to develop. So if you have that patience then it wont disappoint, just seems to takes them longer to get there compared to lets say a endli.

From what I've noticed, WC bichirs tend to be more shy than CB bichirs but it still varies with each poly. I've kept at least 6 weeksii before, half of them were pretty outgoing. Not shy. Here are some photos of them swimming. :)

Awesome looking polys as always Hao!

It's true about them taking a little more time than others to adjust. I've owned 5. Only one was really shy and hides. It helps to have more polys to increase weeksii activity, and eliminate there usual hiding spots.

Just take out all the decor to see the fish like Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 did.

Lets hope they get you some, some of my lfs will say that they can get it, then when you call the following week they will tell you that their supplier didnt have it.

How do I tell the difference? What if it is a ansorgiixendli?

Also haven't ordered yet, cause wanted to see what you guys said first :). Either those two(ansorgii and weeksii...both CB) or the CB teugelsi.

DMD123 DMD123 , that's good to know about the patience involved for a weeksii. Might go with the teugelsi and ansorgii first. Plus the weeksii's they sell are 6-7 inches, so that might be a little big. Especially if I get a 3.5 inch teugelsi lol.
 
I never seen or heard of a cb weeksii, imo they are all wc. Since you have a ornate ill get the CB teug and weeksii so you can have the big trio upper jaws;).
Its better to have a wc ansorgii than a cb one, but ansorgiixendli is a must have for me, its in my must have list, lolz.

I got mines from online dealer, rehobotaquatics.com and the guy selling them is a legend when it comes to polys, his name is toyin, i think everybody here knows him.
