Finally picked up some Clown Loaches

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They just need one big cave or log to cluster-up under. They definitely dont like bright lights, so any shade will do. They look great! Are they in your 450g?

No they are not in the 450. They are all in my 225 and they all invaded my Tig, Dats, birchirs home(driftwood). I will probabely find another 2 Large pieces of driftwood to replace the one and place my 225's current driftwood into the 450.

Just keep upping the numbers and soon they´ll be out all the time

Ya they do come out all the time especially when the lights are off and when they are hungry. I would like to add more, my idea numbers would be around 25-30 of them:).

Nice! Make sure they have some hiding places. I've got three and would love to add a few more. You got them at a very good price. Have you noticed how loud they are when they feed at the surface?

No I haven't heard them eat at the surface. All the food I feed them sinks to the bottom of the tank.

My clown loaches go bonkers for sinking Hikari Massivore Delite, Hikari Algae Wafers, and do swarm up to the surface for Tetra Color Cichlid Sticks.

They are very strong-willed & have no issues pushing someone else out of their home... They arent violent about it, they just bug them until they leave.

If you want to hear surface clicking, freeze-dried bloodworms work great. If you want to hear them really click on the bottom, try algae wafers or cucumber slices attached to a rock. They go hard on those things & I think its louder cuz they put their whole body into it. Keep us updated!

Nice pick up! Mine clicks really loud when they get their favorite food, carnivore pellets!
