The one I used to see at the lfs was stuck to the glass quite a bit. I worry that my crushed coral substrate could get between the sucker and the acrylic as well. I'm interested to see how it goes in your tank.

On another note, the one that was in the lfs for over a year and a half never had a shark or larger fish in with it. The previous owner did not own a larger fish either.

never knew acrylic was so scratch prone:WHOA: but I would say the odds are 1 in 100 that it would hurt the acrylic at all

Oh yeah it scratches fairly easily.

I highly doubt the remora would hurt your acrylic, even when its resting it lays on its belly so its head is no where near the substrate

Cool. I'm definately interested in finding one now after seeing yours. Love the look of them, the predatory nature, and blazing speed.

How big is your tank? just curious because I know I'll need to upgrade eventually since they max out between 24"-30" in captivity

7' L x 3' W x 2' T

Oh very nice you could keep one for life no problem I need one like that

I am still going to go bigger as my Lyretail Variola Grouper and Titan Trigger grow. I want at least a 10' tank.

once we move this summer I plan on getting a 12x6 tank, hopefully then I can get a reef shark or something that my remora can attach to:D

Yeah that would be sweet. I'm attracted to Horned Sharks myself.
