If some of you guy follow my thread on Titanium Flowerhorn & Red Dragon, now they are about 2 and haft month. Most of them showing potential. Pearly is easily showing on any each fish. Hump is too fast to tell but I'm sure coz the MOM is 100% Kokster blood from farm of my friend in Thailand...
Here is the list of step how they grow in 2.5 month....
Comment is wellcome for all of you.....

I am just curious, what exactly is a "good quality" fish when the fish is a Thai Silk X RD?

I am a bit confused as Titanium or Thai Silk FH are bred to have no "flowers".. and for other FH (incl. RD) these "Flowers" are an factor of quality..

Quite frankly, I have not seen "pearling" on a Thai Silk either..

So, if these fry turn out somewhere in between a "good quality" RD and a "good quality" Thai Silk.. will they be considered "good quality" in either one of these categories?

I am sure these fish are going to be fun to keep regardless of what people call "quality".

Good luck,
Sid

They should turn out pretty decent. I grew out about 20 of these and all were pearly. The only culling I had to do was for fins, shape, and flowerline. There is a picture of one of my males here. He isn't even close to how the best one came out from the batch. It seems like the titanium attaches to trhe pearls to make a thicker pearl pattern of the rd. Some will show a lot of TT and others will just have the thick pearls. The ones I raised mostly had yellow faces which I thought was an improvement.
