i know, thats what i WANT to do but there's alot of factors swaying me to the canister route. i think i'm going w/ a rena xp4.
 
painted the bottom, buffed it w/ novus, detailed it here and there and its looking really good :headbang2

Wow congrats bro you just score a nice tank and if I was you I will provide a great biological filter system. Don't forget to snap a pics when you already put your fish in there brother. GBU

thanks guys!

unfortunately i'm holding off on the wet/dry sump filtration for now. will be running a canister and a hob. but i've set it up so it will be really easy to convert to wet/dry in the future.

thanks, it turned out really nice... you can't tell from the pics but the blue i used to paint the bottom looks alot better than the stock blue back they have.

i found novus at a lfs in my neighborhood. there's everything in socal :headbang2
