FACE OFF! Im not sure if you guys can see but he keeps going up to the convicts and eyeing them down. Hasnt caught one yet. He doesnt even go after the rosey reds. They have a roommate bond. They have been together for like 2 weeks now. He just gave up on them.

Yep. All i can fit in my room for now. When my dad finishes my basement ill have a bigger tank for him down there.

To any snapper people out there, what is the absolute minimum footprint of a tank a snapper can have? Need to start looking into the future for him.

I'm no expert, but considering they can get up to 18" across, you wil be looking at needing something in the 4 foot x 8 foot range as a minumum if you wanted to get in the neighborhood.
 
A natural pond would be perfect home for him and what happened to the upgrade plans for your cichlids?
