So your still going to be making a 800 gallon plywood and buying a used 180 off of craigslist, also are you going to be making that concrete pond mentioned in this thread? So if I gave you advice then you would take it? I have never once started a flame war, I may comment and give my opinion on whatever is going on. As far as me giving advice I don't feel like I have enough experience to give people advice because I had just started 7-8 months ago and I just downsized so a 20g planted, so I'm not going to give someone advice on something I have no clue about (unlike you).
So when your turtle is going in your 55 where are your fish going?

I never said I was making the concrete pond. I said I was thinking about it.

Um we have given you advice multiple times and you ignore it every time because it does not appeal to you. We gave you a chance many of times. Over and over and you still make stupid threads on the same topic every time! You cannot sit there and tell us we have not given great advice you are being ignorant. We have sat through all 5 of your threads about your 300g then 500g then 700+ g tanks all your amazing plans that all end up failing. We do this because we know what you are going to do unless you prove us wrong for once. You are 15 almost an adult stop playing the kid card, mature a bit and think. I'm not a *full* grown adult I just turned 18. So I was in that kid situation as you but I didn't act like one grow up already. People flame because you don't listen and your mind is running a 1000 miles a minute and have to slow down you starting things you cannot finish as always. The source of the problem is you but your blaming your problems on others. You say you have all this room but all we've seen is a buried pond 6ft under and an overstocked 55. You know a 55g is not good for an oscar or a jd then why keep them in it? You say you'll wait but all you do is wait and wait then it'll be too late. Instead of solving the problems now or are going to happen you say "oh it's fine for now so whatever" then you start a new problem preparing for this large "dream" and don't follow through and now your stuck in a problem again. Reason we don't add advice anymore is because we are done with you and your childish games and you say you listen but you really don't. This is the last time and only time I say this too you so you stop complaining all the time and trying to get people to pitty because we are the bad people.

I need to spark up my fish life

Holy crap, snapping turtles do not grow that fast. Snapping turtles can last year's in a 55 gallon tank. Not sure where your getting your info from. Do you have any knowledge whatsoever about turtles or are you just saying it to try and have authority?

That's it I'm done with you and your childish acts that's all you got from the entire post no more help from me. *face palm* good luck anyone trying to get through to this kid. For those that don't know him don't even bother with him. Way to help further prove my point

Ps no experience on snappers. Just logical sense for an animal such as a turtle that is round and wide as it is long shouldn't be in a slime tank. This is an online site where would I get any authority some has no knowledge as a whole.

Agreed, but you guys act like my Oscars are in a 10 gallon. They are in a 55 that is cared for. I can understand all you guys may have these humongous tanks that could fit 15 of my fish. But regardless my fish have space. They will continue to have space. Then when I get a bigger tank they will be fine through adulthood. My turtle on the other hand has a beautiful, very spacious setup. So i still am not going to put him in my pond. He is fine for the time being. When he is no longer fine I will give him a new setup and it'll be much larger. S stop worrying about my animals as they all have enough space for now. Worry About yourselves, not me or my animals. They are fine. But, yet again another one of the threads I post gets flamed. Honestly its the same people every time, Runitis, Chrisplosion, or MN_Rebel. you guys try at your points every time I make a post. Then you start a chain reaction and everyone flames me. On the rare occasion people try to defend me, but you grown men find it necessary to sit here and attack a 15 year old boy over the Internet. I get it, I take your advice and I have learned from it, but I have learned to not give a crap about your comments and just reply Like this. You guys may not think I take your advice because I'm not doing what your saying. But, I do take all of your advices into consideration and I work to try and put them into my plans. So just please stop flaming every single thread I start. It's getting repetitive. I know the things I need to do and I'm trying to do it. So stop it already

These same guys are the ones that do it to every one I know lots of people that look at MFK but do not post because these guys have know idea what a grow out tank is

Give the guy a break not like he's got an adult in 30g. Nice turtle mate keep us updated. And as for enclosure I have my maps in a pond filter sump which cost me about £15 and is about 2x3x1 for the time being with a filter and a lamp above it to one side. Very cheap way of keeping em.

Yes but in a responsible persons situation they accommodate the fish in a way where they have adequate space. Not doing what the equivalent of putting and oscar in a 10 gallon.

I've put a 3" Oscar in a 10gal tank and now it's in a 350gal. That snapping turtle the size of a silver dollar can't stay in a 10gal?

I'm not sticking up for this kid, but what is your logic of keeping a small fish in a small-ish tank?

The reason I do it is because:

1) you don't have to treat a full tank while the fish is being QT'ing. ( what's the point of treating a 300gal tank when the fish could be QT in a 10gal)

2) easier to find food.

3) easier to do water changes.

In all honestly, op should have left the turtle alone.

If you weren't bashing on this kid maybe he might take a little bit of advice from a guy that knows nothing about snapping turtles lmao
