lol it happens. I might have to try the potscrubbers though, they look like they have more surface area. Just make sure there not the ones w/ dish detergent in them lol

If your building your filter from scratch, check out the floor scubber pads from a janitorial supply. They do about the same work as pot scrubbers, but in one large piece. I think they come in 18 & 24in diameters and several different grades so you can use them for course & medium filters. Some even have a hole in the center (3 or 4in) that you could run a return or feed pipe thru. Just get a medium size garbage can and your almost done. :grinyes:

You can even half bury it in the ground (yeah ! more digging) and use the lid on the can to hide it.

That is kinda what I am doing except with a 5 gallon bucket. Im hoping it is going to work out ok. Thanks for all the help and do you know where I can get any of the medias you guys just mentioned. I have been looking around but I can't really find anything.

Oh and what do you guys think will go good in there with my goldfish, 6 green sunfish, my cousins irridecent shark (just for the summer), and maybe my sveni pike for he summer. None of those are over 6 inches. The pike being the biggest and my sunnies being the smallest at like 2".
