Went to Petco today and came home with a new 40B & 29g, planning on going back for a 5 and a 20 before the 21st of this month when it ends! So if anyone needs a tank it's going on right now :D

This is my first $1 sale and it is so nice to pay less than 100 bucks for a 40  Both are getting used for my new african cichlid obsession!!!

Is it the sign of a problem that I'm planning on grabbing a 40b on sale and don't even know what I'm going to put in it yet?

Lol.

Locations vary so call ahead.

That being said a 40b is ideal for a planted tank because of its low height which I believe is 14"? Thus the lighting is closer to the sub meaning less wattage and a great footprint.

Here's my 40b with my Denticulatus Piranha:

Maybe some inspiration for your Rad new tanks! Cheers

Do they have any custom size? I am looking for a 36x18-22x15-20.

40 breeders are 36x18x16 (17" tall with the trim)... not custom, but at $40 for a new tank with the dimensions you're looking for and a 5yr warranty u cant really go wrong lol. I just picked one up the other day and love how it doesn't have a center brace

Isn't 40g 36x15x15?

That would be 35 gallons, regular 40's are 48x12x16 but breeders are shorter and wider ;)

Started to buy a 40B but glass was not square, so I've decided to wait.:)
