Oh boy she was a prude for far too long lol!

HAHA that she definitely has, but i guess she was making him work for it lol, but yeah since it is their first time then there is good chance they will eat them but now that shes decided to lay for him hopefully she will continue do so (just hope he doesnt piss her off or something so she holds out again lol) n yeah bichirs will def go after them, i dont know if they will eat the eggs but they will make quick work of the fry during the night, is it possible you could put them with the jag and lois while the GTs breed? lets just say this... iv never fed my sens live food and when i put 11 zebra danios in there after quarantine because i wanted to try dithers, i especially added after i had super fed and during a wc (while tank was drained halfway) by the time i had refilled the tank and cleaned the glass...... they were gone, and these guys were up at the top not at the bottom like fry would be

If this batch doesn't work I have a 35 gal I am currently setting up, I might stick the GT's in there for them to lay the eggs and let them raise the fry a bit them move the parents back. We will see haha. I can try to move the poly's but there are more now..maybe they can go in the 35 haha.

yeah just make sure to have a super tight lid on the smaller tank, my pair were so bonded to each other in the big tank they were never apart, always swimming side by side and fighting stuff together, in the 20g long (30"x12") they were the same way until she laid eggs after he fertilized them she pretty much had him cornered in one small side of the tank, i should have removed him when i saw this but i never saw her out right chasing him or anything and he didnt have any scale or fin damage, so i didn't really think anything of it until i came home from class and he was dried up on the floor (and i had a lid on it but he jumped out of the opening in the back where the filter is ) but yeah so just keep close eye on how she acts with him now that she has little ones on the way

Congratulations!! i just got two 6-7 inch GTs and was hoping they would pair up...I'm beginning to suspect they're both Females tho...hard to tell...take care of them
