WOw. He's got some balls. I thought about doing that, but it would take too many years. It takes many, many generations to get anything close to an SRT if you start from scratch. And it's still iffy.
They ate the eggs today. I am going to do a water change tomorrow and see if they'll pump out some more for me. They seem to be interested in a different flower pot.

Just laid another batch! Crap load. at least 5x's more than before. 5% are white. The rest brown. Fingers crossed. I keep trying to get pics, but my camera is being stupid.
Only problem is, if they are fertile, they are in the tank with many other fish now. The tank is separated into three sections with the pair in the middle.....
So all a fry has to do is swim through the holes onto either side of the tank to get eaten...hmmmm

I went ahead and gave them a full pot to mix things up. It's hard to see in the pic, but the eggs go all the way up the sides to the top.
